“Corridors of change”

“In this work, Ginsborg dissolves the boundaries between material and immaterial, between chance and intention. The painting breathes like a landscape before language - a field of becoming, where pigment, dust, and light reorganize themselves into spirit. Gold moves like memory; pink and grey shift between tenderness and decay. Nothing is fixed, yet everything is precise. This is painting as elemental philosophy - an alchemy of energy turning into vision, a quiet reminder that creation begins not with certainty, but with the courage to let form emerge from the unknown.”

- Wang Chunchen, Art Critic, Curator, and Scholar of Contemporary Aesthetics, Central Academy of Fine Arts (Beijing)

“The portal to another world is in us”

“This painting doesn’t illustrate love - it dissects it in full color.Ginsborg and Munch crash into each other like two weather systems - his chaos, her clarity. The result? Myth, meltdown, memory - and a muscle twitch. It’s a fever dream of hearts, highways, waterfalls, and emotional leftovers. If love is a planet, this is what it looks like when it spins too fast. The SO series was one of Ginsborg’s first - made in 2005, before he began working with structure and rules. All works from this collaboration were sold. This is the only one still available - reacquired by the artist in exchange.”

- Anders Kold, Curator at the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art

"As it opens, the veil unfolds"

“This painting doesn’t sit still. It thrashes, hums, almost sweats. Ginsborg throws paint like he’s wrestling with his own thoughts - every mark a pulse, a breath, a small explosion. Somewhere inside the chaos, a faint cross anchors the storm - structure holding madness in check. The work feels alive, always becoming, never settled.”

- Peter Schjeldahl, Art Critic, The New Yorker

“Out of the tenure rises the coalition”

“Ginsborg paints the threshold where atmosphere turns psychological - where the sky stops being above us and starts being inside us. The color isn’t just applied; it’s lived through. Every layer feels like a breath between weather and emotion, a moment where the world paints itself back at us.”

- Michelle Kuo, Artforum

"Andromeda starsign"

“In Ginsborg’s work, painting becomes a philosophy of existence. He captures the instant when form emerges from formlessness - when the material world begins to think itself into being. Each curve and color carries the memory of energy transforming into matter, the quiet trace of spirit made visible. The painting does not depict reality; it generates it. In this way, Ginsborg reminds us that art is not merely a reflection of life, but a continuation of its evolution - an ever-changing dialogue between chaos and consciousness.”

- David Velasco, Artforum
